My water bill is out of this world, what can I do with my Pool to conserve water?
Let's face it, gas prices and all the rest in the sky today's world thanks to the soaring roof of the last thing we need to deal with a water bill great for your pool. Let me give you some tips on how to help conserve water around your pool and yard:
-
Repair leaks in your pool. Even a small leak in the equipment or the structural shell can cause significant water loss. Just 1 ½ inch per day in a 15×30 pool approximately 150.000 gallons of waste a year!
-
Buy and use a pool cover. Coverage Pool is the only, the best feature of water conservation, because it prevents evaporation. Covers reduce water loss due to normal evaporation.
-
Clean your pool filter. If possible, manually clean your filter. You will do a more detailed work and use much less water. The average wash uses between 300 and 1000 liters of water, without completely cleaning your filter.
-
Prohibit excessive diving, splashing and water fights. Play tumultuous because of large amounts of water loss of "splash-out."
-
cycle control pool filter and use of chemicals. Use the least possible time and filtration test / treatment often chemicals. Regular maintenance will keep the pool cleaner and avoid the need to drain and refill to correct disorders caused by negligence.
-
Reduce heater temperature. If you have a water heater, reducing the temperature of heater, because the warmer water evaporates more quickly.
-
Watch during filling. Keep an eye on the water level at the filling the pool. Forgetting to turn off the water can cause costly waste. Automatic filling systems can help avoid problems overflow.
-
Sweep up the hose off. Sweep decks, patios, driveways and sidewalks instead of hosing off.
