Do I need a sand base for my pool?
I am setting up a 15 x 26 oval aboveground pool. I bought the gorilla padding for the bottom and the foam cove. I live in florida. My whole backyard is sand – hell my whole state is sand. it rained 4 and a half inches last night and you would never know – the ground just soaks it up. SAND!! is it really necessary to lay down a sand base?
I think the sand you already have will be okay, but you should use some of it to fill in the corner between the ground and the metal walls. A curve there helps ease stress on the liner.
