Dog died, the cause of death ..?
I had a toy poodle about 13 years old, very old for a poodle. She always used to go with my parents in their small pool bathroom is like a warm bath in the ground, but filled with cold water. The pool was not, then it could out easily if she fell in. She was always really weird like a dog, really whiny and needy of attention. A few hours earlier we found his body floating in the pool, and when my father pulled her out, we noticed she was bleeding from the mouth. We thought that perhaps she fell and hit his head or something, or maybe it was a type of internal bleeding and fell in to that account. But as I walked by his water bowl, I noticed it was full, so I do not know why she would drink from the pool. Maybe it forgotten, or maybe she went there to die? Does a dog drowning voluntarily? Sorry for the length, it has to be hard, we him for so long.
So sorry for your loss. Losing a dog, especially after owning them for so long, can be incredibly difficult. Because of his age, it may be possible, she had a stroke or a crisis that made him fall over and drown. You also mentioned that might have been forgotten. Some dogs will develop symptoms of Alzheimer's doggy because they go in their old age. Your question is probably the best response by a licensed veterinarian. The important thing is that you were able to enjoy a long relationship with his 13 years.
